    Black, White & Mexico

With one swift click of the mouse, the parosols are ordered! After months and months of stressing over the accent color for the wedding… a decision has been made.

We’re going to be in Mexico, right?
In Mexico, there are lots of bright colors, right?
And since our bridesmaids are all in different black and white print dresses, why not go all the way and give them individual accent colors too, right?

    Right!

Now, after a lot of persuasion on my part to get Tom to agree, each person in The Wedding Party will be getting their own accent color – a bright Mexico inspired color! We have decided to pick 5 colors that we really like (and can’t decide between). We ordered turquoise, fuchsia, mango, grass, plum. Once they arrive and we see them in person, we will then choose the 4  we like most and assign them to each bridesmaid. In addition, we have decided to have sashes made for each of the girls in the same color as their parasol. We may even order flip flops in their color too! I think it’s going to be SUPER cute!

This decision also helped us to choose our flower colors! Originally when we chose blue as the accent color, we didn’t think of how hard matching everything else with blue (in a tropical location) could be. Think about it – there are no blue foods and hardly any blue flowers. Yeah – stress! In such a beautiful natural place dying flowers to match our color scheme just felt – wrong. We always wanted tropical bright, mixed flowers…. and now we get them!

Thanks to everyone who gave us input on the parasols! We really appreciate it!

I am so happy right now that I could do a cartwheel. As a matter of fact, I’m going to do one. Right now….

Awesome!!!!!!!!!!! Our neighbors got married on the beach and the girls wore pretty croc flip-flops. I also have a pair – they are SOOOO comfortable and adorable! They come in a lot of different colors, too – I have a coralish color and they have a lime greenish color.
