Wedding Week Itineraries: Completed!!!
This week I was able to accomplish a very big and important task. That task was the wedding itineraries for the week in Mexico. I created two separate itineraries. The first is of optional activities for guests who plan to be there longer than the weekend. They include a pirate ship tour, a canopy tour, and finally a snorkeling tour. I wanted to create something fun and colorful gives my guests information on each event, the times they can meet up with us, the locations, and prices, etc.. I also included a few pictures. My hope is that after seeing it, people will start to get even more excited about the trip. I know I am!
Itinerary number two is regarding the weekend, which includes 3 major events thrown by us. On Friday night we have planned a “Welcome to Mexico” party at this fabulous bar called O’Rourke’s Pub. The second event is something we are calling “Rehearsal Dinner Famaso Fiesta” – aka a Rehearsal Dinner Celebrity Party. We plan to eat, drink and play “celebrity” which is this great charade-type game, famous at our parties in NYC. The third event is, of course, the wedding. For the wedding, we wanted to give a reminder of the timeline of events that whole day because, frankly, it is a whole day adventure wedding! With this itinerary, I wanted to create something a bit more formal with a dash of whimsy. So I incorporated a black and white graphic, similar to those being used throughout our decor at the wedding. I think it is so beautiful.
These were pretty big tasks despite the fact that they may not look like it. To complete them, I had to find out what most people wanted to do, coordinate those events and interests with the arrival schedules of each guest and then come up with a schedule of the week. Simultaneously, we had to solidify all of the plans in Mexico for the events we are planning to throw ourselves. Then there was the design – which was really easy… except for the fact that I have been working between a mac and a PC all week and Word looks and acts completely different on each computer. But now, after a few weeks, I am happy to state that it is finished. I really think when people open these up, they are going to get even more excited about all of the things we have planned for them in less than THIRTY-THREE DAYS! (cue excitement!) I know I became more excited just planning them.
